Seminar on on High-Tech Industry and Innovative Development for "Belt and Road" Countries Held in Shanghai
On the morning of October 14, 2025, Seminar on on High-Tech Industry and Innovative Development for "Belt and Road" Countries, a China-aid training program hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of China, guided by the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, and undertaken by CIFAL Shanghai International Training Center (CIFAL Shanghai), was successfully launched in Shanghai. Attending the opening ceremony and delivering speeches were Mr. Wang Genxiang, Director of CIFAL Shanghai, and Participant Representative, Mr. Atwooki Deo Byaruhanga, Assistant Commissioner Technology, Department of Industry and Technology, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives (Uganda).
Mr.Wang Genxiang, representing the undertaking organization, expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Commerce of China and the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce for their full support and comprehensive guidance. While extending a warm welcome to all participants. Mr. Wang stated that this training program would begin with the core technologies and applications of high-tech industry, introducing the development of China's high-tech industry. It will also share insights on cutting-edge technologies such as big data, the Internet of Things, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence, as well as their integrated applications in high-tech industry. Besides, the seminar will present beneficial explorations and summarized experiences in high-tech industry from China and Shanghai.
Mr. Atwooki Deo Byaruhanga, on behalf of all participants, expressed sincere thanks to the Ministry of Commerce of China and CIFAL Shanghai. He stated that he would like to learn from China's experiences in the development of high-tech industry. He also looked forward to discussing the new developments and changes in high-tech industry in the new era with our Chinese instructors and experts, as well as exploring the future trends in high-tech industry. Finally, Mr. Atwooki Deo Byaruhanga concluded by wishing the seminar success, hoping that it would foster further collaboration between China and the "Belt and Road" countries in the field of high-tech industry, paving the way for a brighter shared future.
This seminar lasts for 14 days and has 31 government officials and experts participating from 11 countries namely Bulgaria, Benin, Grenada, Kazakhstan, Nigeria, North Macedonia, Panama, Slovak, South Africa, Uganda and Vietnam. The opening ceremony was presided over by Ms. Wang Kemin, Deputy Director of CIFAL Shanghai. After the ceremony, Chinese leaders and all participants took a group photo as a memento.
