On the morning of June 5, 2025, the China- Aid Training Program, "Seminar on Digital Transformation of Industries for Belt and Road Countries," commenced in Shanghai. Mr. Wu Yugang, Executive Director of CIFAL Shanghai, and Mr. Kanvalga Ishaku Binga, a project analyst from the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy of Nigeria, attended the opening ceremony as a representative of the participants and delivered speeches.
This seminar is organized by the Ministry of Commerce of China and hosted by CIFAL Shanghai. Mr. Wu Yugang expressed his gratitude on behalf of the host to the Ministry of Commerce of China and the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce for their strong support of the seminar. He extended a warm welcome to the participants and hoped that through the seminar, they would gain insights into the application of digital technologies in the digital transformation of industry, services, and agriculture, as well as in the field of smart city traffic management. He also hoped that this would promote further cooperation between China and Belt and Road countries in the field of digital transformation of industries.
Mr. Kanvalga Ishaku Binga expressed sincere thanks to the Ministry of Commerce of China and CIFAL Shanghai on behalf of all participants. He stated that he hoped to learn from China's experience in digital transformation of industries through this seminar. He also looked forward to discussing the new developments and changes in digital transformation of industries in the new era with Chinese instructors and experts, and to exploring the future trends of digital transformation of industries.
The seminar lasts for 14 days, with a total of 25 government officials from 7 countries, including Armenia, Botswana, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Ethiopia, Nigeria, and Uzbekistan, as well as from the African Union, participating.
