Background
In 2025, the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR)CIFAL Shanghai joined hands with iMake Education to create the "Global Goals Creative Challenge" for all primary and secondary school students. This initiative aims to enhance the awareness of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) among students and inspire them to observe the world, care about life, and establish a sense of social responsibility and mission to change the future with technology. Now, we are about to welcome the annual award ceremony of this challenge, and at the same time, launch a European study tour, giving award winners the opportunity to gather with young people from around the globe to share innovative ideas and project practices.
Date: July 2025
Location: United Nations Geneva Headquarters and related European study locations
Age: Primary and secondary school students aged 7-18
Event Theme: Technology Innovation for Sustainable Development
During this award ceremony and study tour, we will focus on how to promote the realization of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals through technological innovation.
